![]() I dunno if Sega has the people, money, or will to actually commit to making VC a competitive turn-based strategy franchise in the current market. It doesn't help that the writing team is stuck on a tone and allegory that doesn't work for the subject matter, when they need to shift to something more like Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans tone and to just ditch the "Valkyria = nukes" nonsense that adds nothing to the stories. It's literally the bare minimum (but very good) improvements over VC1 in every regard except storytelling, which is just as janky as VC1 but without the benefit of the "this is the first iteration" factor, which makes it look cheap as fuck and underwhelming compared to the competition. after XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2 raised the bar to the stratosphere. Like, the main problem with VC4 is that it's VC1.5 in 2018. ![]() While I hope there is still a future for the series, it needs to push forward a lot further, coming out with such a safe sequel after all that time just made the game feel a bit stagnant, there's still untapped potential here but we ain't gonna see it just remixing the original game. Let me add that I actually did enjoy 2 for what it was, oh sure the plot and characters were donkey balls but there was a certain impressive element to cramming the general experience into a PSP and toying with the branching classes etc.īy the time VC4 rolled around my tolerance for the slow menus, constant cutscenes and in particular VC4's flavour of anime booolsheet was a lot lower, the new maps were fine from what I played and leant on some interesting gimmicks, yet I just could not will myself to push through even though it's ultimately a slightly better version of 1 gameplay wise when it comes down to it. It can be a crapshoot, but when you find a good one, it's really cool! Here are some of the ones I've played.ħth Dragon 2020: Great patch! I played this one to completion, and you'd think it was done professionally.VC4 was a very odd sequel, it was the game that I wanted back in 2010 in place of the actual VC2 but arriving in 2018 (I think?), and by the time it arrived as a straight follow up to the style of the first game in a very iterative feeling fashion it was just too late. The sequel is supposed to be patched by the end of this year, and I'm stoked! The Valkyria Chronicles 3 Translation Project has released a working patch translating the game’s text into English. ![]() Back in the dark early days of the PS3, Valkyria Chronicles was easily one of. Valkyria Chronicles 3 - Also played this one to completion. It is a good localization though (even though I feel like that game is about 70 hours longer than it needs to be) It's story-complete, but missing some of the side stuff, like newspaper articles and a couple of the enemy commands. I'm hoping someone picks this project up and finishes the translation. We provide free Valkyria Chronicles 3: Extra Edition (English Patched) for Android, Windows, Mac and tablets with psp emulators. From what I can tell, the critical path is all translated, but none of the villagers' dialog has been localized, and a lot of the sidequests are unfinished. It's a really cool game, though, and I'd love to finish it. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd - I've heard there are good patches out there for this one, but the patch I got kinda sucked. VALKYRIA CHRONICLES 3 ENGLISH PATCH 2018 PORTABLE You can download the patch from the Valkyria Chronicles 3 Translation Project website. It was definitely intended for serious MonHun veterans, as they didn't bother to translate lower-level quests or tutorials. Sega still never even brought the third game outside Japan. The instructions for patching are also outlined on the download page. Valkyria Chronicles 4 Free Download PC Game pre-installed in direct link. VALKYRIA CHRONICLES 3 ENGLISH PATCH 2018 PORTABLEĪt the moment it seems unlikely but, it still is possible that they may be brought over to steam.
